As a part time Urgent Care Provider at Salem Health, you will be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering timely, expert care to patients with a wide range of acute needs. You will blend clinical skill with compassionate service, diagnosing and treating conditions efficiently while ensuring patients feel heard and supported. In this role, you will be part of a team of Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, and CMAs that will care for a number of diverse cases, from sudden illnesses to work-related injuries, in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Guided by Lean principles, you will partner with physicians, medical staff, and support teams to streamline care delivery, enhance patient outcomes, and maintain the high standards our community trusts. Your expertise and adaptability will make a measurable difference for patients when they need it most. This position will cover both our Woodburn and Salem Urgent Care locations.

What you'll do
- Provide medical care customarily delivered by an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to patients of all ages, performing additional duties as requested by the Urgent Care & Occ. Med. Medical Director.
- Devote full attention and effort to patient care, fulfilling daily responsibilities as required by Salem Health.
- Consult with and respond to physicians, patients, third-party administrators, and payors regarding tests, studies, certifications, or procedures.
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical records and reports in accordance with state and federal requirements.
- Fulfill and maintain CME credits as required by regulatory agencies, licensing boards, or malpractice carriers.
- Participate in quality assurance, utilization review, and professional education programs.
- Assist in the training of Salem Health personnel and supervision of student nurse practitioners when requested.
- Engage in office management tasks related to scope of practice and clinical quality.
Required qualifications
You may be a qualified Physician Associate candidate if you:
- Have graduated from a Physician Associate program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Associate (ARC-PA) or its predecessors.
- Have passed the Physician Associate National Certifying Examination and are certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Associate.
- Current Physician Associate license in good standing issued by the Oregon Medical Board.
- Hold DEA certification.
- Successful completion of the Physician Associate National Certifying Examination.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Associates.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in relevant setting.
You may be a qualified Nurse Practitioner candidate if you:
- Possess a Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing, or in a field deemed to be equivalent by the Oregon Board of Nursing.
- Have satisfactorily completed a Nurse Practitioner Program recognized by the Oregon Board of Nursing.
- Hold a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Oregon.
- Hold valid, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner national certification issued American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or National Certification Corporation (NCC), or an equivalent Medicare/Medicaid approved certifying body or be actively seeking certification and obtain the same in the specialty area requested within 24 months of privileges being granted at Salem Hospital.
- Hold DEA certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in relevant setting.
