What you'll do
- Perform comprehensive, age-appropriate patient assessments and communicate pertinent findings to the care team.
- Deliver skilled, compassionate nursing interventions in alignment with patient care plans, prioritizing safety and comfort.
- Develop and update individualized plans of care based on medical history, cultural background, and changing patient needs.
- Educate patients and families about treatment, medications, and self-care using clear, understandable language.
- Accurately document all assessments, interventions, education, and patient responses to ensure continuity of care.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with the healthcare team using situation, barrier, assessment, and results as well as other best-practice communication tools.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment by following infection control and safety protocols.
- Demonstrate leadership through evidence-based practice, professional development, and participation in unit performance improvement.
Required qualifications
- Associates Degree of Nursing (ADN) or Graduate of a Diploma of RN program with a minimum of 5 years acute care experience. ADN graduates with less than 5 years of acute care experience are required to sign agreement to complete their BSN or MSN within 3 years of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Current Unencumbered licensure to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon.
- 1 year of RN staff experience required
Additional information
- Acute RN staff nurse experience preferred.
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy administration certification required within 12 months of hire date for all scheduled and unscheduled RNs working in the Infusion Center.

RN residency program
