Your role with us
As a Radiologic Technologist at West Valley Hospital, part of the Salem Health system, you’ll play an essential role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging to patients in our close-knit community of Dallas, Oregon. You’ll work in a collaborative outpatient environment where every image directly supports timely, accurate care decisions.
Our technologists do more than take images, they apply critical thinking and clinical judgment to tailor each exam to the patient’s condition and comfort level, ensuring optimal image quality while maintaining safety. At West Valley Hospital, you’ll work with advanced digital imaging technology and utilize systems like EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to deliver seamless, efficient care.

What you'll do
- Select appropriate radiation exposure settings based on the patient’s body type and condition.
- Capture high-quality images, tailoring exams to meet the specific needs of each patient.
- Document thorough and relevant patient histories, including symptoms and onset.
- Provide compassionate care while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
- Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine care, identify malfunctions, and report issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Utilize Radiant Radiology, EPIC, and PACS systems for imaging requests, documentation, and charge entry.
- Support the care team by assisting with various tasks such as clerical duties, patient calls, order protocols, phlebotomy, rooming, POC testing, and medication administration as needed.
Required qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Licensed with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) in Radiography.

RN residency program
