Scope of Service:
Our OR team provides intraoperative care for patients undergoing elective and emergency surgical procedures across a wide range of specialties. While we do not perform burn or organ transplant surgeries, we care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in our18-bedsurgical unit.

Background/Expertise:
- Graduate of a Diploma RN Program and at least 5 years of acute care RN experience ADN, BSN, non-nursing bachelor’s degree with MSN, or MSN; preferred for West Valley Hospital. ADN graduate with less than 5 years of acute care experience required to sign agreement to complete BSN or MSN within 3 years of hire. Note: Employees hired as an ADN prior to October 2011 are not required to obtain BSN or MSN.
- Minimum of one (1) year of operating room nursing experience required.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- Current unencumbered licensure to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.
- Association of perioperative Registered Nurses preferred.

RN residency program
