Your role with us
As a business intelligence system administrator II, you’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening Salem Health’s enterprise analytics ecosystem. You’ll steward the performance, reliability, and governance of our BI platforms, empowering clinicians, operational leaders, and analysts with trusted data and high‑performing tools. This role blends hands‑on technical administration with organization‑wide governance leadership, giving you the opportunity to shape how data is accessed, managed, and used to improve patient care and operational excellence. You’ll collaborate closely with infrastructure teams, BI developers, data governance partners, and vendors to ensure our BI environment is secure, scalable, and aligned with Salem Health’s mission.
What you'll do
- Administer BI platforms by maintaining and optimizing SAP BusinessObjects, Power BI, Azure DevOps Server, and data catalog tools to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability across the enterprise.
- Troubleshoot BI application issues and monitor system health, resolve access and scheduling issues, and address performance degradation to keep analytics workflows running smoothly.
- Implement upgrades and enhancements, coordinate patches, configuration changes, and platform improvements in partnership with vendors, infrastructure teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead BI governance practices and establish and evolve governance standards for BI tools and data assets, ensuring consistent, compliant, and secure usage across the organization.
- Manage BI content lifecycle and support processes for publishing, migrating, certifying, and retiring reports and dashboards across all BI platforms.
- Collaborate across teams by working closely with analysts, developers, governance partners, and operational leaders to align BI tools with organizational needs.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, healthcare, or related field; or eight years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience where each year of education equates to two years of experience.
- Minimum three years of IT, healthcare, business administration, or related experience.
- Minimum three years administering systems such as SAP BusinessObjects, Power BI, Azure DevOps Server, or Compendium Data Catalog.
- Minimum two years applying data governance and data management principles.
