Your role with us
We’re seeking a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician to join our team. You will have experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions while working closely with primary care providers, specialists, and rehabilitation team members. You’ll lead individualized rehabilitation plans, mentor colleagues, and drive continuous improvement in patient satisfaction and for our organization. In this role, you’ll partner with hospital staff and leadership to ensure effective care coordination, resource management, and discharge planning. Your expertise will help shape program growth, uphold high-quality standards, and apply Lean principles to improve patient outcomes. This role enjoys a balanced schedule of 165 shifts per year.
Physiatry
Join a collaborative team of 4 other physicians in a 25-bed inpatient rehab unit.
What you’ll do
- Provide comprehensive medical care for assigned patients, coordinating all aspects of rehabilitation within the specialty scope.
- Lead the interdisciplinary team in developing, implementing, and updating individualized rehabilitation plans, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality outcomes.
- Assess patient eligibility for Inpatient Rehab and recommend alternative care options when appropriate.
- Perform necessary patient procedures and maintain excellence in education, infection control, quality of care, and patient/family communication.
- Contribute to clinical pathways, protocols, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in rounds, patient flow management, outpatient follow-up, and team meetings, collaborating closely with the PM&R Medical Director and rehabilitation staff.
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine.
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Oregon.
- Current DEA certification.
- Board certification or board eligible and certification obtained within 5 years of employment start date.
