Your role with us
As an EEG technician, you will play a crucial part in diagnosing and monitoring neurological conditions, directly impacting patient outcomes and quality of life. By performing high-quality EEG testing, monitoring patient responses, and supporting clinical decision-making, you will help ensure timely and accurate care. Your expertise not only supports physicians but also provides reassurance and education to patients and families during the process.
What you'll do
- Conduct EEG testing for inpatients and outpatients, ensuring patient identification and proper monitoring.
- Calibrate, monitor, and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring functionality and reporting failures.
- Record study data, monitor tracing quality, complete reports for physician interpretation and documents per protocols.
- Observe patient responses, recognize adverse reactions and implement therapeutic interventions when needed.
- Educate patients and families while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
- Ensure efficient use of resources, follow research protocols and accurately process billing for procedures.
- Manage patient scheduling, workflow and coordination with team members.
Background/experience
- Registration R. EEG T. preferred, not required
- BLS certification required upon hire
- Two (2) years recent experience as an EEG technician preferred

RN residency program
Begin your journey from student nurse to confident practitioner with our RN Residency Program. The program features a combination of didactic lessons, simulation, and track-specific class options.
