What You'll Do:
· Attend and manage deliveries, including those for unassigned patients
· Provide triage care and surgical assists as needed
· Support community OB providers with inpatient care
· Serve as a clinical backup for certified nurse midwives and family medicine providers
· Oversee and manage hospital transfers
· Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maternal safety and patient experience
Specialty care available in-house:
· 24 hr in-house anesthesia and ultrasound
· Level III NICU and dedicated high-risk antepartum unit
· On-site maternal-fetal medicine consultative services
Salem Health Women & Children’s Services Division includes:

- 10 bed Pediatric Unit which provides inpatient and outpatient services
- 26 bed Mother Baby Unit
- 19 bed Labor & Delivery Unit (12 labor and 7 antepartum beds) with 2 operating rooms and 3 triage rooms
- 27 bed level IIIA Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- 2nd highest number of deliveries in the state of Oregon
Background/Expertise:
- Hold a degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
- Hold Board Certification in Obstetrics by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology or the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- 5 years of experience as a board certified/board eligible OBGYN Physician
- Performance of at least 50 deliveries in the past 2 years
- Hold a current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Oregon
