They work with cutting-edge equipment, document thoroughly, and navigate systems like EPIC, Radiant and PACS with confidence. What you'll do
- Performing Diagnostic Imaging: Select appropriate radiation exposure settings based on the patient’s body type and condition. Capture high-quality images, tailoring exams to meet the specific needs of each patient.
- Patient-Centered Care: Document thorough and relevant patient histories, including symptoms and onset. Provide compassionate care while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
- Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently. Perform routine care, identify malfunctions, and report issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Technology & Documentation: Utilize Radiant Radiology, EPIC, and PACS systems for imaging requests, documentation, and charge entry. Follow ALARA principles and departmental safety guidelines.
- Team Flexibility: Support the care team by assisting with various tasks such as clerical duties, patient calls, order protocols, phlebotomy, rooming, POC testing, and medication administration as needed.
Required qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Licensed with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) in Radiography.
