Reporting to the Director of Facilities Management, you will oversee a team of supervisors and support staff who in turn lead nearly 70 employees. Leadership & Team Development:
- Establish accountability standards, educate teams to ensure shared understanding, and oversee adherence to standards.
- Engage and develop supervisors and staff through clear expectations, coaching, performance management, and recognition.
- Recruit, retain, and train top talent, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Address and resolve performance or cultural challenges, setting and maintaining high performance expectations.
Operational Management:
- Oversee daily facility operations, preventive and corrective maintenance programs, and work order systems.
- Partner with supervisors, safety, and compliance teams to ensure operational excellence.
- Maintain a visible leadership presence in work areas (“in the Gemba”) to stay connected with frontline staff.
Strategic & Compliance Oversight:
- Provide strategic direction in alignment with Salem Health’s mission, vision, and values.
- Ensure compliance with city, state, and county regulations as well as Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, and other authorities.
- Develop and implement policies, standards, and programs that enhance operational efficiency and quality.
