Your role with us
The solution center operator III provides exceptional customer service and technical support by efficiently operating Salem Health's switchboard system, handling messages, and activating emergency codes while maintaining composure under pressure. This role also involves troubleshooting technical issues and collaborating on process improvement projects. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position.
What you'll do
- Operate Salem Health's switchboard system, promptly answering incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate location.
- Provide exceptional message management services, accurately recording and processing messages for healthcare providers.
- Activate emergency codes promptly and according to approved policies and procedures, prioritizing patient safety.
- Serve as the first point of contact for technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions via phone, email, or other electronic mediums.
- Monitor alarm systems and notify the appropriate person or response team according to approved policies and procedures.
- Collaborate on process improvement projects to enhance workflows and eliminate waste.
Required qualifications
- One year of college-level coursework in hardware, software components, and operating systems, or one year of equivalent directly related experience will be accepted in lieu of education.
- One year of experience in a contact center, help desk, or customer service role.
Additional Information
- Ideal candidates will have technical knowledge of personal computer operations, basic network operations, and data communications set-ups.
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability are essential, with the ability to quickly adjust to shifting priorities.
- The ability to remain flexible and responsive in fast-paced environments, handling unexpected changes in work volume, emergency staffing, and scheduling, is highly valued.

RN residency program
