West Valley Hospital located in Dallas, Oregon, a part of Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics, has served the community for more than 100 years. It is the proud home of Polk County’s only 24-hour emergency department, extending round-the-clock care to Dallas, Monmouth, Independence, and surrounding rural communities. The recently remodeled and expanded Hospital offers a wide range of services including: emergency, imaging, lab, surgery, rehabilitation, and so much more.

Your Role With Us:
As part of this tight-knit group of healthcare professionals, you will apply your problem-solving methodologies for benefit of patients, clinical staff and the patient care area. You will contribute to the many staff-led projects that are designed to deliver the highest quality of care at all times.

Background/Expertise:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Basic Life Support – required before completion of orientation.
- Workplace violence training within six (6) months of start date.
- Basic Cardiac Monitoring course completion and exam success when assigned within six (6) months of start date.
- Prefer experience in acute care, ambulatory care, emergency care or Emergency Medical Service setting. Prefer completion of one (1) year of nursing school within the last two (2) years.
Requires ONE of the following to be considered for hire:
- CNA certification
- EMT B certification
- Enrolled in an accredited nursing school
- Previous experience as an ED tech or in a comparable role (ex. CMA, UAP)

RN residency program
