Your Role With Us:
Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics is seeking a full-time Medical Director to oversee our established, hospital-based Palliative Care team, as well as provide services to our patients. Salem Health’s Palliative Care program has a collaborative interdisciplinary team, who have developed and fostered strong relationships and support throughout the organization. As our Medical Director, you would be joining a large, dedicated team of physicians, Social Workers, RN, support staff, with access to Chaplains and an Ethicist.
Our group offers a flexible four-day work week with dedicated clinical and administrative days where you will work closely with a dedicated dyad business manager and have additional dyad clinical and operations leadership support.
Background/Expertise:
- Hold current, unrestricted Oregon medical license.
- Graduated from an approved school of medicine.
- Achieved ABMS/AOA Board Certification a medical or surgical specialty
- American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (ABHPM) certification
- Have completed a Palliative Medicine Fellowship
- Demonstrate direct participation in the active care of at least 100 terminal or severely and chronically ill patients, including 25 hospital inpatients, for whom Palliative Medicine was a predominant goal of care, during the past 24 months.
- Have at least three years of hospital experience in Palliative Care
- Leadership experience is preferred
