Your Role With Us:

Salem Health is seeking a Senior Staff Recruiter to serve as a strategic partner to our business lines in managing the recruitment lifecycle for leadership-level recruitments (executive, director, manager, supervisor). Successful candidates will posses the following attributes:

The Senior Staff Recruiter will be responsible for the following functions: 

Talent Acquisition:

1. Develop and execute advanced search/sourcing strategies for high-priority and specialized positions; maintain an active candidate pipeline.

2. Lead the full lifecycle recruiting process for complex and high-impact roles across organizational levels and functional areas, including leadership, technical, and hard-to-fill positions; emphasize building a robust candidate pipeline.

3. Oversee the screening and selection process, partnering with hiring managers to choose the best candidates using sophisticated selection tools and techniques.

4. Advocate for the organization as an employer of choice by providing comprehensive information on business strategy, culture, and job expectations.

5. Represent the organization at career fairs, industry events, and networking functions to build and expand the recruitment pipeline.

6. Develop and maintain a strong network of potential candidates through referrals, proactive market research, creative sourcing techniques and ongoing relationship management.

Recruitment Strategy & Consultation:

1. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define and validate job requirements ensuring alignment with strategic business needs; provide expert advice on requisition management and talent selection.

2. Partner with hiring managers to create and implement innovative, proactive recruitment strategies and goals to attract top professional and leadership talent.

3. Work with leadership on workforce planning, developing advertising/search strategies, and addressing evolving business needs.

4. Propose and implement best practices and new processes to enhance recruitment efforts and support the organization's long-term growth.

5. Maintain a network of industry contacts to identify and source qualified leaders for high-priority positions.

6. Stay informed of employment market trends and evaluate their impact on hiring plans; initiate and recommend actions based on market conditions.

7. Develop and manage targeted recruitment campaigns, including marketing and collateral materials for specific opportunities.

8. Build and maintain trust through credible, high-integrity communication with managers, peers, and candidates.

Exceptional Candidate Experience/Candidate Tracking:

1. Accurately document and track all recruitment activities in the applicant tracking system and the candidate relationship management system (CRM); serve as a subject matter expert on the CRM.

2. Ensure timely and clear communication with candidates and hiring leaders throughout the recruitment process.

3. Monitor compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations, maintaining legally defensible documentation for the selection process.

4. Negotiate compensation packages, including sign-on and relocation assistance, in partnership with Compensation Analysts; prepare and extend offers and process HRIS entries.

5. Resolve complex technical and people issues related to recruitment and retention.

6. Provide expert guidance and support to leadership, employees, and external candidates on recruitment, selection, and job offers.

Team Support:

1. Serve as a role model for the recruitment team, setting a high standard in professional conduct and best practices.

2. Act as an additional resource and subject matter expert, providing expertise and guidance on complex recruitment challenges.

3. Provide mentorship and training to other recruiters and team members, enhancing their skills and development.

4. Onboard and train new staff recruiters through a combination of in-person and virtual sessions.

5. Serve as a backup for the Supervisor when they are out of the office, ensuring continuity of operations and support for the team.

6. Facilitate orientation and leadership development programs as assigned, contributing to the growth of new and existing team members.

7. Lead continuous improvement initiatives, supporting Lean practices and driving process enhancements within the Recruitment and HR teams.

8. Identify and address opportunities for process improvement, actively participating in and contributing to related projects and strategies.

9. Build strong peer relationships with HR staff, integrating feedback to improve processes and deepen understanding of functional areas

Education: 

  • Bachelor's Degree required, with preference in health care, business, marketing, human resources or related clinical field. 

Experience:

  • Minimum of four (4) years full life cycle recruiting experience recruiting required. Experience recruiting high-level management and technical positions preferred. Health care recruitment experience highly preferred.

  • Expertise in matching talent to organizational needs and culture.
  • In-depth knowledge of full lifecycle recruiting components.
  • Extensive experience in full-cycle recruiting required; human resources experience preferred.
